About Us

Geeky Cool Jewellery is a marvellous emporium of handmade and bespoke pieces of jewellery. Our designs are fun and will make you smile. There are some designs that will appeal to your inner child, and there are others that are just weird and wacky.

We have collections inspired by Marvel films, DC, Star Wars, SyFy, Horror and LEGO – all of which we are huge fans of.

All our components are ethically sourced; we are very careful with our suppliers. Earring components are surgical steel and safe for sensitive ears. Our chain is cut to 18.5 inches / 46 cms long and we use slighter larger than usual clasps, so our necklaces are easier to put on and take off. We have had our jewellery tested for strength and durability by Bureau Veritas (the toy safety testing house). And our jewellery is 100% Nickel and Lead-Free.

Our LEGO creations are made using genuine LEGO pieces only and all our jewellery is handmade.

Geeky Cool Jewellery is based in Wiltshire but travels around the country to attend events and shows and conventions. Please contact us if you would like us to attend your event.

Have fun browsing our site and we hope to hear from you soon!

About Michelle

Michelle is the designer at Geekycool. When illness prevented her from completing her PhD, and being diagnosed with bipolar meant she couldn't continue her role as a lecturer, Michelle turned to self-employment to support herself.

Michelle has always made things, from crafting, knitting, sewing, woodwork and metalwork. She decided to try her hand at jewellery-making. She joined The Jewellery and Silver Smithing Society of Oxford and her crazy jewellery-making journey began.

Following a number of years making 'serious' pieces that saw her designs featured in numerous magazines including Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, she turned tail and decided to make 'fun' jewellery. TV and film genres which she loved as a child in the 1970s; Marvel, DC and Star Wars were her inspiration, along with her favourite toy, LEGO.

Being self-employed allows Michelle to continue to work around her illness. It means she can plan her days, and by making things relating to subjects that she loves, enables her to earn her own money.

She is eternally grateful to people who purchase her creations as it means she can earn a living doing something she loves and it helps keep her focused, "and somewhat ‘normal’ lol x".

Michelle’s children and grandchildren all play, or played, with LEGO and she considers it to be the "greatest toy in the world".
